OUR STORY

Hey, it’s me, Whitney, the founder of Echo Apparel. I wanted to share with you a little about how I got started 6 years ago with my small, little business….

You know those people who see the snow for the first time and immediately are in awe? They fall in love just by looking at it. Creating is that for me. Creating is fun, it’s always exciting and I hope, never-ending. :) I have always had a passion for crafting and also for selling things. It all started when I was 10 years old, I sold painted rocks to the neighborhood. (And yes, people actually bought these! 🙂)

But for real, the company really got its start when I brought home my first embroidery machine, after many months of persuasive letters (business propositions) written to my husband, to justify the big expense. I started first with monograms and then grew to do business logos for companies. I started to enjoy this side venture more than my current job at the time and after kids came into the picture, this became my job, my dream job! (Along with homeschooling and mommin’ too.)

My husband proposed an incredible idea one day, to join this venture with me and start the screen printing side of the business. It’s absolutely a dream to be able to use my passions of creativity, alongside my very organized and structured husband. Lord knows I need that! As a team, we have taken on numerous projects over the last 5 years and I know the best is ahead!

We have truly always had a desire to help those in need, to support those locally and afar with their ministry ventures. We chose from the start to donate 20% of all our profits to go to various non-profits. Over the years, we have been able to donate around $10,000 to church plants and local non-profit ministries. We hope to be able to continue to bless those financially who dedicate their lives to doing God’s work.

We look forward to working with you!
